Welcome Back For Term 4

We hope everyone enjoyed a restful and restorative break and that our students are returning with renewed energy for the final stretch of the year.

Term 4 always carries a special feeling, a sense of completion as the year’s work comes together, along with the quiet excitement of what lies ahead. There is much to look forward to in the coming weeks: Matric Valedictory, High School Derby Day, The Family Fair and the daily moments of learning and connection that make our school so alive.

We look forward to sharing this final term with you all.

A Special Thanks to Charles Abbot

As we begin this new term, we also pause to express our deep gratitude to Charles Abbott, who has faithfully created and cared for the school newsletter for more than twenty years. Through his steady dedication, thoughtful words, and gentle humour, Charles has helped keep our community informed, connected, and inspired.

His work has carried the spirit of Michael Oak into countless homes, week after week, weaving together the stories and happenings of our school life. It is no small task, and we are profoundly thankful for the care and commitment he has given over so many years.

Charles, thank you for your service, your heart, and your quiet presence behind the scenes. You leave a legacy of warmth and continuity that will be felt for a long time to come.

We wish you all the very best in this next chapter and hold much appreciation for all you have given to our community.

Table Tennis Triumph

During the holidays, Qaa-im and Owais Jacobs took part in the South African Table Tennis Championships and had an incredible time competing. Qaa-im brought home a gold medal in the under 15 team event, while Owais earned bronze in the same category and another bronze in the mixed doubles. Their achievements are a source of pride and joy for our school community. Congratulations to both of them on their remarkable success.

Well Done!

Santa's Shoebox

We are delighted to share that we have reached our target for this year’s Santa Shoebox appeal!

The Santa Shoebox project is a heartwarming initiative that brings joy to children in need across South Africa. Volunteers fill shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, clothing, and treats, which are then delivered to children who might otherwise go without. By contributing to this project, our school community has helped spread hope and festive cheer to many young hearts.
